Results can be viewed here (click).] The WizZon Speedcubing Challenge 2019 (WZSC2019) is an attempt by WizZon and the enthusiastic cubers in Brunei to organize an informal competition for Brunei speedcubers. It intends to promote speedcubing and bring together cubers and speedcubers to positively challenge and help each other to become faster.

Given the limited resources of WizZon, this competition is run by volunteers. It will simulate the real WCA competition conditions as much as possible, however with changes in view of the constraint in resources.

Venue and Schedule

This competition is happening as an activity in Riuh Raya event organized by KB Sentral. WizZon with the help of enthusiastic cubers from Brunei cubing community and the support of KB Sentral, will sell some of its products at a booth in Riuh Raya and at the same time organize the Speedcubing Challenge. The venue, operating days and hours are as below:

Venue: 1st Floor, KB Sentral, Jalan Pandan Lima, Kuala Belait
Days: 29 May to 2 June 2019

WizZon booth operating hours: 14:00 to 18:00 and 19:15 to 20:30 (selling of products)
Speedcubing Challenge: 15:00 to 18:00

Competition events and prizes

Events: (1) 2x2x2 Ao5, (2) 3x3x3 Ao5 and (3) 3x3x3 OH Ao5
Prizes: Top three positions (fastest) in each event. Each competitor can only win one prize in each event, base on his/her best (fastest) result.

Rubik’s Cube Scramble Generator at Ruwix.com will be used to generate scrambling algorithms to scramble the cubes.

Each competitor can participate in all events ONCE (Average of 5) on each day. However, each competitor can only win one prize in each event, base on his/her best (fastest) result.

All Brunei residents are welcome to compete. Competitors can choose to come at anytime during the challenge days/times. Competitors will be required to register before they can compete. Prizes will be given to the top three (fastest) competitors in each category.

Winners will be announced, after the competition, on WizZon’s blog and this page, IG, Twitter and Telegram news channel. WizZon will contact the winners to arrange for the collection or delivery of their prizes.

Results of all competitions will be recorded on our ranking roll.

2x2x2 prizes: (1st) QiYi Valk2 M Stickerless + WizZon Mat M, (2nd) MoYu Bag + QiYi FBPB Speedcubing Mat L, (3rd) Yuxin Little Magic 2x2x2 Stickerless + QiYi FBPB Speedcubing Mat S.
3x3x3 prizes: (1st) GAN 356 Air UM Black + WizZon Mat M, (2nd) Qiyi M-bag + QiYi FBPB Speedcubing Mat L, (3rd) Yuxin Little Magic 3x3x3 Stickerless + QiYi FBPB Speedcubing Mat S.
3x3x3 OH prizes: (1st) MoYu Weilong GTS3 Stickerless + WizZon Mat M, (2nd) MoYu Bag + QiYi FBPB Speedcubing Mat L, (3rd) Yuxin Little Magic 3x3x3 Stickerless + QiYi FBPB Speedcubing Mat S.

Registration

Registration must be made at the registration page (click to open) before taking the competition. A competitor is only required to register once for each (or all) events, even if they are competing on multiple days.

In addition to the above registration, you will be required to complete a form at the venue.

Terms and conditions

Participation in the competition confirms acceptance of the following terms and conditions, in addition to the competition regulations (click to read):

  • The competition is only open to Brunei residents with a valid Brunei address.
  • WizZon deserves the right to change any details, rules, regulations and prizes of the competition.
  • All competitors must provide the required information to register in the competition before they can compete.
  • All competitors agree to grant WizZon unrestricted permission to use the photos and videos taken during the competition that they appear in the photos or videos.
  • WizZon may use the photos and videos on its website and social medias.
  • All competitors agree to grant WizZon unrestricted permission to publish the details of the results in the competition.
  • All competitors agree to wait in the queue as assigned by the organizing committee, usually in the first come first serve basis.
  • Each competitor can participate in all events ONCE on each day. A competitor who has already participated on an earlier day will be put to the end of the waiting competitor queue.
  • All competitors agree to adhere to the rules and regulations written in this document before and after this paragraph.
  • All decisions made by the organizing committee assigned by WizZon are non-disputable.
  • Prizes are not exchangeable for other items or cash.
  • Any winners not reachable from the provided contact information during the registration will be considered to have abandoned the prizes. Any prizes not collected or delivered within a month from the date of the announcement of the winners will be considered to have been abandoned by the respective winners.
